Our standard range of over 130 mailboxes can be fitted with a small fire extinguisher that is popular in projects where risk of arson attacks into mailboxes is considered high.
The fire extinguisher – ‘FireTrace’ is an unobtrusive tube which punctures at the hottest point releasing the contained gas directly into the source of the fire.
The FireTrace is a single use item that has to be replaced once used and is available in multiple different sizes to suit the volume capacity of each individual mailbox.
How does the FireTrace work?
In the event of a fire being started in a mailbox, the heat generated softens the tube which punctures the item at the hottest point (approximately 80º). The gas contained in the tub is releasing into the seat of the fire extinguishing the fire at the source.
How many times can a single FireTrace be used?
The FireTrace is a single-use item. Once a fire has punctured the tube and the gas is released, a replacement item is required to be fitted.
