Since 1986 we have been designing, manufacturing and supplying mailboxes and parcel boxes from our UK factory in South Wales. We are passionate about creating innovative, practical mail solutions creating a balance of aesthetics and security. Over the years we have built a strong reputation in the market as a quality British manufacturer supplying the UK and worldwide and truly believe in going the extra mile for our customers.
Quite simply, we take on board your requirement for the product, thoroughly understand it, find the best solution from our vast range of products (considering any technical, standards and specification requirements), create an AutoCad drawing for your consideration and quote it. We then manufacture it in its entirety in our UK factory HQ and if required our CSCS carded team can install it. From initial enquiry right through to installation we can offer a full turnkey solution.
We have over 150 models in our range and we supply directly to the commercial and domestic markets for multiple banks of mail and parcel boxes through to one individual box. We also offer a full bespoke facility to create a unique solution as required. We aim to offer the ultimate service for every project requirement for any size or budget. We deliver worldwide daily, and have international agents dealing with our products in many geographical locations. We handle all international enquiries in our UK offices.
Our very first mailbox, Homeguard, was created and launched to the market in 1985 by our founder Ian Brown MBE. This product was the first mailbox solution and still remains a popular product in our range. Homeguard fits to the rear of a front door and can be fitted with a fire extinguisher which will contain and extinguish flame, protecting the home and those within it. It was apparent to Ian that the letterflap was a vulnerable area in the home and actually the ultimate solution was to remove the opening in a door and replace it with a mailbox that could be wall mounted, recessed or freestanding externally.
Once the Homeguard was promoted to the market it was quickly followed by a comprehensive range of wall mounted, recessed and through the wall solutions, and a product range of over 150 models were developed over time, including Fire Rated mailboxes and other high specification products.
In 2008 our product Flaplock™ was created, ironically following demands from the market to produce a solution to growing problem of intimidation, arson and theft via the letterflap. We revisited the issues relating to this area and provided a simple to fit and affordable solution allowing those with an existing letterflap to simply lock it at night or when away, or to close it off and mount an external mailbox. This product is extremely popular and it is currently sold directly to the domestic market and fire, police and housing associations throughout the UK.
An important part of our business is our commitment to R&D. Our team continually think outside the box – working on producing the next innovative solution and ensuring we are providing the best products in a continuous improvement environment. We are happy to have visitors and encourage people to book a visit to see how our products are created from flat sheet steel and aluminium into over 150 models of mailboxes from our 15,000 sq ft factory in South Wales.
All stages of manufacture are carried out in our factory; drawing and punching, CNC sheet metal work, welding, powder coating, engraving, assembly and packing. We have a fully committed and trained team who all believe in our mission and go the extra mile to ensure we provide the very best service possible.
A popular and regular request is to remove old damaged mailboxes or those poorly purchased with lack of strength and durability, and upgrade them to new products often with additional security features. We have a library of before and afters for you to look at. When we consider the new proposal, our site survey considers the elements of Secured by Design in terms of mailbox positioning on a development and the additional features that may be required.
