The Safety Letterbox Company, the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of secure mail and parcel solutions, has welcomed Richard Wigley as a new manager to its team as the firm aims to increase business with its latest product launch.
Richard Wigley from Carmarthenshire has joined the Neath-based company as business development manager. Wigley has 30 years’ experience as a business and marketing professional. He has worked in various roles during his career, bringing experience in areas including product development, strategic marketing and sales. He has also fulfilled technical roles and boasts solid commercial skills, customer insight and technical knowledge. Prior to starting at The Safety Letterbox Company, Wigley was product and project manager at Siniat UK – a specialist in dry construction materials.
The appointment of Richard Wigley comes as The Safety Letterbox Company launches a new division to the business – Parcel Boxes UK. As part of the German Group RENZ – a European leader in mail and parcel delivery – The Safety Letterbox Company recently launched its innovative parcel box units, which are the first of their kind to be introduced to the UK market.
With the UK parcels market nearing an annual turnover of £10 billion and growth in internet shopping continuing to rise, there is increasing pressure on the parcel delivery sector. The Safety Letterbox Company has identified a clear gap in the market for an effective parcel management solution and its intelligent parcel box units intend to fill this. The products can provide greater ease, convenience and flexibility when it comes to delivering, receiving and returning parcels.
Wigley will play a central role in bringing the products to market and highlighting their many benefits to real estate managers, couriers, retailers, businesses and consumers.
